Vandersanden from the very beginning has specialised in the making of hand-formed facing bricks characterised by a grained structure, a fine sanded surface and nicely shaded colours. The production of hand form bricks principally takes place in the old-fashioned way. In Belgium and Holland the hand form brick is by far the most used facing brick. The raw material of the brick is clay.
Vandersanden possess a traditional feel for the baking of bricks, coupled within the company to the application and command of modern techniques. This is how Vandersanden built the most modern and best equipped machinery in Europe.
